Louisville drivers rate poorly in new Men's Health study Print E-mail
Louisville drivers earned a D-plus in the July/August issue of Men's Health magazine, which ranked the top 100 United States cities in terms of the most environmentally friendly drivers.

The city ranked No. 85 on the list, way behind Lexington, which ranked No. 20. Seattle drivers were the most emissions-friendly, followed by drivers in Burlington, Vt.; Portland, Ore.; Madison, Wis.; and Fargo, N.D. Other cities in the region also rated poorly. Cincinnati ranked No. 64, while Nashville ranked No. 78 and Indianapolis ranked No. 93

To rank the best environmentally friendly drivers and the worst gas guzzlers, the magazine used data on gas consumption, miles traveled annually, air quality, vehicle efficiency and mass-transit quality and usage.
